What information does TuneStudy collect from your child and how is it used?
The personal information that TuneStudy initially collects from children during registration includes their first and last name, their email address (in some cases this may be the parent’s email address) and the parent or guardian’s email address. This information is used by the company to initiate contact so as to obtain verifiable parental consent and to establish a student landing page that can be accessed once parental consent is received. If we do not receive verifiable parental consent in a reasonable time (three weeks from the initial application) or if you notify us that you are refusing to consent, this information will be deleted from our database.
Your Child will be able to make their personal information publicly available.
The types of personal information that we collect and save from your child online will include his or her e-mail address and your email address, demographic and computer information, information about your child’s interest in and use of the TuneStudy site as well as other information described in full in our Privacy Policy. We do not collect any information from your child other than what is reasonably necessary to participate in TuneStudy activities.
Once we have received consent your child will receive a login confirmation that will take them to their personal profile page. TuneStudy has social media functions as a primary component of the sites and the act of engaging in online lessons involves your child sharing their personal information (the video image and audio interaction of a live lesson are ruled to be “Personal Information” under the COPPA Regulations). Because of this, we encourage you to monitor and supervise your child’s activities during his or her time on our sites. Activities on the social media portions of the site include (a) sending and receiving messages via the internal email system from TuneStudy and other users of the website; (b) reading and posting messages on the various TuneStudy message boards: (c) personalizing areas of their profile page, including being able to upload photos of themselves and communicating with other students and instructors. There are certain controls in “Account Settings/Privacy” that allow you or your child to limit the sharing of certain types of information. But, these controls do not negate the necessity of providing your consent for your child to access our service.
In addition to any pictures or videos that your child may post on their student page, all lessons that your child takes with TuneStudy are recorded and archived for a period of two weeks, then deleted. These videos are only available to; your child through your logged in student page, the instructor from their personal page and select TuneStudy personnel. The reason for maintaining these video files is threefold, (1) to enable you and your child to review past lessons in order to aid learning, (2) allow the instructor to view the past lesson as an aid to preparing future lessons and (3) as an added safety measure.

If we delete your child’s personal information per your request and or receive a request to collect no further information from your child, all further access to www.tunestudy.com will be terminated for that account, all personal data related to that account, including your information will be purged from our system. The only exception would be such information we are required to maintain by other applicable law such as completed billing transactions.
Cross-border transfers of information.
TuneStudy is headquartered in the United States of America but its affiliated music instructors and customers are located around the world. As a result, your user information may be transferred to other countries in connection with your use of the Site. If you access or use the Site outside of the United States, your user information will be transferred to our servers in the United States.

Code of Conduct Expectations
Our platform is designed to be a fun, interactive live video learning environment. Though all instructors are pre-screened, we have built in some safety features intended to prevent behavior by any member that is not consistent with our policies and values, or with applicable laws, rules, or regulations. An additional feature is designed to immediately terminate the live connection between any members who engage in any such unacceptable behavior. Video connections will be randomly monitored to ensure both quality of instruction and compliance with behavior expectations.
Age
All users under the age of 13 must have parental consent to participate in our social media platform. Parents will be encouraged to participate with children as needed and required by instructors.
Dress
As a live video educational portal, it will be required that all members utilizing this function wear appropriate clothing at all times during any sessions. Appropriate clothing will cover at minimum all body parts, with the exception of arms, from the shoulders and chest down to the mid-thigh. Clothing must be opaque and not display any wording or graphics that can reasonably be interpreted as potentially offensive or provocative to any community member. Any violations of these expectations will be grounds for immediate dismissal from the lesson. Extreme or repeated violations can and will result in more serious penalties, including termination from the TuneStudy community.
Language
Any posts containing offensive, abusive, profane or sexual language, or personal attacks of any nature will be withheld or removed without notice or explanation.
Any unauthorized posts or comments which seek to direct or recruit members away from TuneStudy and/or promote other music instruction vendors will be withheld or removed without notice or explanation. Spam or other repeating postings of identical or similar comments will also be withheld or removed without notice or explanation.
You are responsible for all content, including without limitation any information, text, pictures, photos, messages, notes, videos, and other files, that you upload or post on the site, or communicate to other users through this site. If you post content that you did not create or own the rights to ensure that you have the necessary consent and permission from the owners of such content to post the same on TuneStudy. All materials that you wish to submit for pay through our video on demand must be approved by TuneStudy as required by our policy. TuneStudy can remove content at anytime without notice or explanation.
Recorded lessons between paying students and instructors will be retained and available for exclusive review by that student for approximately two weeks. Special Instructor approved-for-pay content (VOD library) must be authorized by TuneStudy as required by policy, to include a separate contractual and financial agreement between TuneStudy and the instructor or provider. Except for original content that you post to the site or special content marketed in our VOD library, all other content on the site is owned by TuneStudy or licensed to us by third parties, including without limitation all information, text, designs, graphics, pictures, video, applications, software, sound and other files to include their selection and arrangement. You must not, without our prior consent, copy, publish, download, modify, or use any of the content, either in whole or in part, without our written permission. If you are eligible to access the site, we grant you a limited license to access and use the site and our content, and to download or print a copy of any portion of the content to which you have proper access solely for your personal, non-commercial use, with all copyright, trademarks, logos, or other proprietary notices intact. We may revoke this license at any time without notice and for any reason.
Classes
Instructors and students should arrive before the scheduled class start time and be prepared. Instructors that are late to the scheduled class start time will be subject to administrative review. Students that are late for class may not be allowed to join. Refer to the TuneStudy refund/cancellation policy for guidance. Classes are designed so that students will be able to speak live with the instructor but may only text chat with other classmates. This was designed to prevent any unwanted distractions.
Personal Information
TuneStudy recommends that no personal contact information (including but not limited to, phone numbers, emails, or physical addresses) be shared outside of the platform. Instructors are prohibited from asking for the personal contact information of students, particularly minors. Personal contact with members will be solely conducted through TuneStudy.
TuneStudy Name, Logo or Assigns
Members may not under any circumstances, without the company’s written consent, use the name “TuneStudy” , “TS” , or “tunestudy.com” in any form, nor use any symbol, logo or graphic used by, or associated with the “TuneStudy “company alone or with the name “TuneStudy” or any name, symbol or logo, or graphic confusingly similar to TuneStudy’s name, symbols, logo or graphics as part of an email address, a “home page,” or a second or higher level domain name any online network members utilizes, originates, or registers with internet or similar authority.
Unauthorized use of the name “TuneStudy”, “tunestudy.com,” or any symbol, logo, or graphic used by or associated with our company or any confusingly similar thereto, is a violation of company policies and subject to legal action.
